Scotty Will Say Your Name in Season 12

Scotty knows your name now.

Season 12 adds Dynamic Commentary to THE FINALS. Wipe a whole team or keep reviving your squad and Scotty can yell your name mid-match. In Embark's video Scotty reacts to a long SR-84 shot on Monaco and says: "The crowd is silenced by the pinpoint accuracy of Tiny.Lils from across Monaco."

Carl Strandberg, the audio director, and Simon Svanbäck walk through it in the video and they're pretty hyped about it. They say the lines get made from your match as it happens, so it's real time, and you still get all the old prerecorded Scotty and June stuff mixed in with it.

For now it's a beta and he only reacts to a couple of things. They kept it small on purpose so they can pick what Scotty actually says and make sure he still sounds like Scotty, and they'll add more moments slowly while they test it in the wild. If you play with Anonymous or Streamer Mode on he won't say your name.

Embark says truly dynamic commentary is one of its biggest goals for the game, and they call this first version a massive milestone.
