The Contestant is a news and reference site for THE FINALS, the game by Embark Studios. It is published by Harbor Media and lives at https://contestant.gg. The site tracks what changes in the game, patch by patch, and keeps a reference library that players can search.

What's on the site

• News: THE FINALS news and announcements, with what each change means for players. Articles list their sources.
• Patch notes: Embark's patches, hotfixes and live updates. Each page shows the version, release date and platforms, and keeps Embark's wording, grouped as added, changed, fixed or removed.
• Guides: how-to guides for THE FINALS.
• Walkthroughs: walkthroughs with step-by-step objectives. Each walkthrough opens with an overview, followed by one step for each objective.
• Wiki: reference entries for the game, sorted by category.
• Tools: helper tools for progressing in the game.
• Game Events: live and upcoming events and Twitch Drops, each marked as live, upcoming or ended.

Wiki categories

The wiki covers these categories:

• Weapons
• Gadgets
• Specializations
• Builds
• Arenas
• Game Modes
• Sponsors

Every entry has its own page. A weapon, a gadget, a Specialization and an arena each get one, so you can link straight to the thing you need.

Where the information comes from

We base our content on:

• Embark Studios' announcements and patch notes on reachthefinals.com
• The community THE FINALS wiki

Patch notes use Embark's own wording, without extra commentary. We update the site as new patches and events release, and we correct pages when the game changes.

Independence

The Contestant is an independent fan site. THE FINALS and its related names and assets are trademarks of Embark Studios.
